Intersections of Domestic Violence and Affordable Housing

The Domestic Violence Coordinating Council will host a Community Conversation on the Intersections of Domestic Violence and Safe and Affordable Housing on Tuesday, April 30 from 5:30-7:30pm. The purpose of the community conversation is: - to identify barriers that survivors of domestic violence face in securing safe and affordable housing, - to understand available community resources and to recognize service gaps; - to discover opportunities for community members, groups and organizations to work together to reduce these gaps and to improve safe and affordable housing opportunities for victims in Anderson County. The Domestic Violence Coordinating Council will use the input provided to identify priorities for future collaborative efforts to address the issue of domestic violence in Anderson. Community leaders, organizations, citizens, and survivors of domestic violence in Anderson County are encouraged to join this conversation to provide feedback, observations and ideas.
