The Greenville Storytellers Project is a series of live storytelling nights that puts local people on stage to talk honestly about their lives. In the weeks leading up to the event, a team of Greenville News journalists coaches the storytellers through their 8 to 10-minute stories and helps them rehearse. Their stories inspire us, connect us, make us laugh — and, often, they explore life’s more complicated truths. We do this with the goal of promoting empathy, understanding and love for people whose stories are different than our own. The theme of our next event on Sept. 24 is War Stories: Battles on the front line and back home. Tickets: $12 Location: The Comedy Zone Doors open: 6:30 p.m. Show time: 7-8:30 p.m. If you have a story, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org!
