The Deets: Freehaus Jupiter Red Red Wine Barrel Aged Sour Red Ale Jupiter Red is the 4th release in an ongoing collaboration between Carolina Bauernhaus Ales & Freehouse Brewery. We are sharing barrels, yeast, and most importantly ideas. Jupiter Red is a Flemmish-style red ale brewed with organic malt and fermented using house cultures from both breweries including a strain of native lactobacillus from SouthYeast Labs. The ale was allowed to age in Sangiovese wine barrels for 7 months before adding foraged mulberries and blackberries and aging an additional 3 months. The result is a vinous ale with luscious acidity balanced by bright notes of jam and berry and a hint of oak. 7.0% alc by vol 1 PINT 9.4 FLUID OUNCES
