Open Streets Weekend Kicks Off May 29-31
Starting Friday, May 29 at 5pm through Sunday evening, Main Street from 6th Avenue to Allen Street will be closed to vehicular traffic to allow folks to enjoy Historic Downtown Hendersonville while maintaining a safe social distance.
The Open Streets concept allows restaurants to expand outdoor dining and gives customers peace of mind to know there is additional space to enjoy downtown shops and dining. Many retailers will expand their space outdoors to enjoy the fresh air throughout the weekend.
To support a Safe Hendo experience, visitors to downtown are and will be encouraged to practice the three W’s; Wear a cloth mask, Wait 6 feet apart and Wash your hands! Hendersonville continues to shine as a place that is attentive to the needs of the entire community, an awareness that routinely inspires our Love Hendo spirit, and an attitude that we know can be collectively applied to your downtown visits.
