Craft of Filmmaking: The Visual Story

To create a compelling film is to craft characters, events, and emotions into a compelling, entertaining story. Join Will Stewart (director of photography) and Micah Taylor (writer/ director) as they use their latest short film, House Lights, as a case study on how to build each element of story into the visuals of a film. This workshop is for beginner or intermediate filmmakers and will cover: • Creating characters • Story structure • Telling story through scenes • Translating emotions into shots • Planning/ designing shots • And more... Our desire is to connect with and cultivate the Greenville film community. The cost of the workshop is only $5; this covers food (snacks, popcorn, drinks, y'know the movie essentials)! Space is limited to 20 people, so book your seat now!
