CALL to Action: County Council & Greenlink Funding

Funding for Greenlink is at a crossroads. The upcoming two year budget for Greenville County will be determined by June 30 and requires three public readings. Funding a robust transit system has been an advocacy priority since 2015 when the Homelessness White Paper was published which led to the formation of GHA. We urge all stakeholders to wear green and attend County Council meetings. Homelessness cannot become brief and rare without a public transportation system with longer routes, better hours and more frequent buses. Transportation has emerged as the #1 gap in our system to address homelessness, #1 weakness in our community and #1 advocacy priority as GHA kicked off the update of the Homelessness White Paper. The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. If you wish to provide 3 minute public comments, arrive between 5:30 - 5:45 p.m. to sign up to speak. You must have your driver's license with you to sign up.
