No! We aren’t talking about our “relics”, not the world-famous collection of historic and playable stringed instruments at the Carolina Music Museum, No! We are talking about The Carolina Relics, the fabulous Appalachian music trio that is performing at the museum. This is the second group of musicians to be featured in the museum’s Heritage Green Music Festival, a festival that “faces south”, highlighting the music that is as much a part of our musical heritage as the historic instruments currently on display in the museum: it’s all here in four special concerns, four in the fall, four in the spring, Bluegrass, Appalachian music, Piedmont Blues and Jazz, sponsored by Craig and Bianca Walker.
Exploring the deep, rich and diverse heritage of Old-time Music from the Carolinas and the Southern Appalachian Mountains, The Carolina Relics, with Becky Stovall, David White and Andy Brooks, three musicians who can pick up and play nearly any stringed instrument will light up our intimate 80 seat performance space and beer and wine will be available!
