It’s hard to believe that when the Drive returns home on Friday it is the start of the final homestand of the 2019 season. It seems like just yesterday that we were welcoming some of the Red Sox brightest, young prospects to Greenville, and celebrating Opening Day!
The final homestand has some great promotions across all 7 games, the most exciting of which is that the Red Sox 2018 World Series trophy will be at Monday’s game! 2018 marked Boston’s 4th title in 15 years, with last year’s club featuring 8 Drive Alumni!
The homestand begins Friday, August 23rd to kick-off a 3-game series with the Asheville Tourists, affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. The series opener marks the final post-game Hubbell Lighting “Light It Up” Fireworks of the season.
You won’t want to miss the Saturday, August 24th game, with first pitch at 7:05 PM, as we welcome the ZOOperstars! to Fluor Field. The crazy antics by Shark McGwire, Clammy Sosa, and Harry Canary will feature players from both teams, and pranks on the umpires!
With the start of the school year, Safe Kids Upstate welcomes a new crop of future leaders, with their Safety Patrol members across all elementary schools from Greenville, Pickens, and Oconee Counties! The Safety Patrol members will participate in a pre-game parade on Sunday, August 25th, and kids can receive a custom-fitted bike helmet at the ball game, courtesy of Prisma Health.
Get your photo alongside the 2018 World Series trophy on Monday, August 26th, as the Drive open up a 4-game series with the Augusta GreenJackets, affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. For just $15, you can participate in a pre-game buffet, and be one of the first fans to get their photo taken with the trophy. Fans with the picnic trophy will have exclusive access to the trophy from 6:30-8, at which point the trophy will be on public display.
A celebration of Legacy Early College and their teachers, students and families highlights the game on Tuesday, August 27th, including the school’s Founder, William Brown, throwing out the game’s ceremonial first pitch.
Wednesday, August 28th is Prisma Health Family Night at the ballpark! Join us in thanking all of Prisma Health’s wonderful employees and their families, for all that they do in the Community!
The season at Fluor Field comes to an end on Thursday, August 29th, with first pitch set for 7:05 PM. It also means it’s the last Dollar Drink Night of the season. Fans of all ages can purchase Pepsi fountain drinks at any of the concession stand for just $1, while fans at least 21-years-old can head over to the 500 Club for $1 cans of Keystone Light or $2 cans of Terrapin Recreational Ale.
The Drive looks forward to seeing you at Fluor Field during the upcoming homestand! For more information, visit GreenvilleDrive.com
