Blues Legend, Dr Mac Arnold is proud to present his new National Blues Concert Series for 2017. To kick off the year, Dr. Mac Arnold, himself, with his great band Plateful of Blues will be kicking off the New Year in style at The Hottest Blues Venue in the Western Carolina’s. Dr, Mac Arnold’s Blues Restaurant, was a dream to build the world’s greatest blues venue where friends could gather and enjoy the Best Blues Music around coupled with some great soul food, friends and family. Being a Blues man who had played with the likes of James Brown, Muddy Waters and other blues greats, he understood the importance of passing on the tradition of America’s Roots Music, THE BLUES.
Dr. Mac had a dream and now that dream is reality. The stars have aligned and beginning with one of the best honky tonk blues piano players around, on Thursday, January 12th from 8 PM to 11 PM, National touring artist The Reverend Billy C Wirtz will grace the stage of Mac Arnold’s Blues in Greenville, SC.
Reverend Billy C. Wirtz is a comic genius, gifted pianist and American musicologist who defies easy classification. “I like to think of myself as the Victor Borge of the blues,” states the Reverend, but Billy goes way beyond Borge both in scope of subject matter (from politics to social commentary) and, of course, in taste. In fact, no theme is too extreme, taboo, or undignified for the Reverend, so long as it garners a good laugh.
We have a lot more of this carrying on going on in 2017, coming in February is the Prestage Brothers, Jason Ricci, Joe Moss, Shane Pruitt, John Deltoro Richardson, Please contact us for more exciting news about our new NATIONAL BLUES CONCERT SERIES.
