NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control says two recent encounters with rabid animals have exposed both people and pets to rabies.

According to DHEC, a cow located near Nance Street and Dennis Dairy Road in Newberry tested positive for rabies. DHEC
