A Florida firefighter is in the hospital after he and his family were involved in a serious crash in the Florida Keys Tuesday.Capt. Jeff Power has been working for Boynton Beach Fire Rescue for 16 years. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a vehicle came to a sudden stop because there was an iguana crossing the road. A box truck traveling behind that car was unable to stop, crashing into it.The box truck then drove into the northbound lanes, crashing into a pickup truck head on. The box truck overturned onto its side. Capt. Power and his family were in the pickup truck. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help raise money for the Power family.The crash took place along U.S. 1, near mile marker 70.Officials with Boynton Beach Fire Rescue said Power, his wife, son and daughter were on vacation when their vehicle was hit.Power and his daughter were airlifted to a trauma hospital.Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
