COVID-19 metrics continue to decline in NC, SC

Cases in North Carolina: 764,228 lab-confirmed cases with 9,409
deaths. DHHS reported 2,926 new cases on Tuesday. The percentage of positive test results is averaging 10.2% over the last two weeks. NCDHHS is reporting that 2,741 people are hospitalized statewide due to COVID-19.

Cases in South Carolina: 400,472 total cases of COVID-19 with 6,599 deaths. The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 1,554 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday. DHEC is reporting 32 new confirmed deaths. The percentage of positive tests is 8.8%.

Cases in Mecklenburg County: 87,204 Mecklenburg County residents have tested positive for the coronavirus and 793 related deaths have been reported since the pandemic began. 10.7% of individuals tested were positive for COVID-19 over the last week. #COVID19 #coronavirus
