Thanks to Corrine Baker and her husband, Dan, over 100 rescued pigs now have a place to call home. It started in April 2018 when they rescued 23 potbelly pigs from a case of neglect. With the help of animal advocates, they started Outsiders Farm and Sanctuary.”They’re not meat pigs, they’re potbelly pigs,” Corrine Baker said. “So, we wanted to make sure they went to pet homes and not to be exploited or put in another bad situation.”The Bakers set up the sanctuary as a nonprofit, allowing people to visit and learn about potbelly pigs. They are now caring for 185 pigs, for whom they hope to find forever homes.
