Clemson University researchers are on the hunt for internet trolls, and they want to arm you with weapons to strike them down, or at least, spot their deceitful tactics.”Troll” is the slang term for anyone behind the bogus posts, GIFs, memes and videos that spread misinformation on the Internet.Clemson professors Darren Linvill and Patrick Warren have developed an online and mobile-friendly quiz called “Spot The Troll”

The website presents a series of eight actual social media accounts. The user is asked to decide whether the account profile is authentic or a fictional profile that has been created by Russians or others in order to post misleading and divisive information
