A North Carolina amusement park announced Tuesday it is throwing in the towel on the 2020 season and closing its doors for the rest of the year.Carowinds Vice President and General Manger Pat Jones said in a letter posted to the park’s website that it will remain closed for 2020, blaming the ongoing challenges related to the coronavirus pandemic, and citing guest and associate safety.
