Buncombe County has issued what amounts to a “shelter-in-place” order for all residents of the county in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The measure goes into effect at 8 p.m. March 26 at and lasts through 6 a.m. April 9. Officials may change or extend the declaration as they see fit.
