Bon Secours Holds Topping Out Ceremony for New Simpsonville Medical Campus

– Bon Secours St. Francis is celebrating a milestone in its efforts to expand access to care throughout Greenville County. Facility Scheduled to Open in Early 2022

A small group of hospital staff gathered for a topping-out ceremony to watch as the final beam was placed on top of the health system’s new 41,450 square foot comprehensive health care center. Health care workers were given the chance to sign the beam ahead of the special event.

The new, two-story facility is going up along Interstate 385 in Simpsonville. The $39 million project will include a freestanding emergency department, a retail pharmacy, an x-ray and ultrasound, as well as clinical office space for services to include women’s health, orthopedics, cardiology, behavioral health and primary care.

19,000-man hours have already gone into constructing the new facility. Construction crews have poured 600 cubic yards of concrete, moved 30,000 cubic yards of dirt, and installed 300 tons of steel. The project is expected to be completed by Spring of 2022.
