PARENTS. >> IN JULY OF LAST YEAR, WOMAN EATING BREAKFAST IN HER ORLANDO APARTMENT HEARD A BABY CRYING. WHEN SHE OPENED THE FRONT DOOR, SHE WAS SURPRISED TO FIND A BABY WRAPPED IN A T-SHIRT. >> I JUST OPENED THE DOOR AND GO OUTSIDE, AND I HONESTLY THOUGHT IT WAS A JOKE FOR THE FIRST TWO SECONDS BECAUSE I SAW A BABY ON THE FLOOR, LIKE WRAPPED UP IN A T-SHIRT, APOLLO SURE, AND HE WAS JUST ON THE FLOOR CRYING, AND NOBODY WAS AROUND. >> THE WOMAN WAS EVEN MORE SURPRISED TO FIND A NOTE WITH A HEARTBREAKING MESSAGE FROM THE MOTHER. “I HAD THEM IN THE BATHROOM ALONE. HIS DAD TRIED TO KILL US. PLEASE KEEP HIM SECRET AND TAKE HIM TO THE HOSPITAL. DAD, A VERY DANGEROUS MAN.” IT HAPPENED AT THE WILO KEY APARTMENTS IN METRO-WEST, BUT IT WASN’T THE FIRST TIME. TWO YEARS EARLIER, IN 2017, A BABY WAS FOUND ABANDONED IN THE SAME COMPLEX. A BABY GIRL, ALSO FOUND WITH A NOTE >> SOMEBODY LEFT THE BABY IN THE HALLWAY, IN THE CLUBHOUSE WITH A NOTE. >> THEIR OWN LAND A WORKING THE CASE NEW THIS WAS THE THIRD BABY — NEW THIS TIME — NOW THE ORLANDO POLICE DETECTIVE WORKING THE CASE KNEW THIS THE THIRD BABY FOUND ABANDONED HERE. THE FIRST WAS IN 2016. AND THIS DETECTIVE HAD A HUNCH. HAD ALL 3 CHILDREN DNA TESTED AND TO EVERYONE’S AMAZEMENT THE TEST CAME BACK A MATCH. THE CHILDREN ARE SIBLINGS. AND EVEN MORE MIND BLOWING, THEY HAVE THE SAME MOTHER AND FATHER. BUT WHO ARE THE PARENTS? WHERE ARE THEY? THIS WEEK IN A VIRTUAL MEETING, THE ORLANDO CITY COMMISSION APPROVED $2,500 TO HIRE A COMPANY THAT WILL USE GENEALOGY TO TRY TO FIND OUT. TO LEARN IF THE MOTHER IS IN DANGER, OR IF CHARGES SHOULD BE FILED AGAINST BOTH THE MOTHER AND FATHER OF ALL THREE CHILDREN, WHO WERE LEFT BEHIND.

Three newborn babies found abandoned years apart at a Florida apartment complex are all siblings, DNA testing has shown. Back in 2016 a newborn baby was abandoned outside an apartment at the Willow Key Apartments in Orlando. Another baby was abandoned at the complex in 2017 and it happened again last summer. Orlando Police Department investigators said they have determined that all three babies have the same mother and father. The detective on the case is now asking for funding to use the services of a company called United Data Connect. The company will analyze the DNA and potentially help police track down the parents.In a memo to Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolon requesting money, a detective wrote: “Based on the egregious and neglectful behavior of the parent(s), and the bizarre facts of this case, unlike any other documented case, it is imperative to conduct a well-being check of all involved parties. This cannot be done without the assistance of United Data Connect.” The request for funding was approved at the last city commission meeting. When the newborn was found last summer, authorities issued a reminder that a newborn baby can be left at a hospital or fire station with no criminal repercussions.A baby can be dropped off until the child is 7 days old.
