Changes, community, and character…three big words from a night with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.   Dave & Buster’s hosted a hopping evening that was just what was needed to invigorate the doldrums of the last six months!

If you haven’t found one of our hometown gems, the Swamp Rabbits, then you will want to be a part of this upcoming season!  An enthusiastic crowd of fans of all ages welcomed the new Head Coach Andrew Lord and Assistant Coach Phillip Barski to Greenville.  There was an excitement in the air as the crowd received long awaited updates on the 20-21 season from the President of Spire Hockey, Todd Mackin. Jordan Kuhns, the Director of Media Relations and the ever recognizable “Voice of the Swamp Rabbits” emceed the evening hosting a Q&A session after each gentleman gave a welcoming speech.  Stomper was in attendance and up to his normal high energy antics that endears him to us all.

Swamp Rabbit Leadership Features Years of Experience

A congruent theme I found in all three of the VIP guests was their levels of experience, pursuit of excellence and education. Each of these men bring years of experience and expertise to the table from the business realm, on the ice, and at the coaching level. Their individual attention to detail and commitments to character building, community connection, and career progression were evident.  Though there have been a lot of changes this year one thing is evident Todd Mackin is all about community and character building and has done a wonderful job filling the Head Coach position with Andrew Lord.  Together Mackin and Lord have brought about a phenomenal choice and selection of Phillip Barski as Assistant Coach to round out a powerhouse leadership team!

As a Greenville Swamp Rabbit fan myself and mother of children who have been to games and beg to go back because they love their team—I left the evening confident in the fact that this leadership team is one that will foster a growth in our Rabbits that we can continue to support and look up to with pride.  Todd, Andrew, and Phillip have a solid plan and direction that will be one to watch for in the 20-21 season…come out and be a part of this Rabbits Rising …I have a hunch this will be a year to remember for Greenville!
