Join us for the 6th Annual – off-road series of events in America’s Largest Backyard at Biltmore Estate in September.
There are three events in the Asheville Off Road Series on Sunday, September 16th at Biltmore:
1. The Asheville Duathlon – Run/bike/run (Individuals or 2 or 3 person Teams)
2. Asheville Gravel Grinder Bike events – A 20, 40 or 60 mile mainly off-road bike option (non-technical, no trails, all dirt/gravel/paved surfaces)
3. 10k off-road run with a special ‘behind the house’ view!
Formery known as the Asheville Duathlon, a unique run/bike/run multi-sport event has something for everyone! The first 5k run is on paved and dirt carriage roads, next adventure on the west side of the Estate with a 13.25 mile off-road bike ride on dirt and gravel carriage roads, and a final 5k trail foot race on the Westover Trails. Also offering two or three person Duathlon Teams so you can duke it out with friends and family!
Running not your thing? No worries, we have a 20 mile, 40 or 60 mile Gravel Grinder Bike events that take you off road on the historic grounds of Biltmore Estate property. Whether you are a scenery seeking biker or a competitive-racing junkie, these events are for all types of mountain bike or cyclocross riders.
For the trail runner the 10k off-road run, has a birds eye view of the ‘back of the House’ and a beautiful view! Runners will enjoy the flat roads of the Lagoon Trail and the beauty of the reflection pond and the opportunity to run in the backyard of the Biltmore House!
Join endurance athletes of all abilities on 7:45/8:00 am on Sunday, September 16th, 2018, and step to the start line, hearts booming in anticipation, to challenge mind and body while competing in the annual multi-sport event held at Biltmore Estate.
