You are invited to attend the thirty-ninth annual South Carolina Cello Choir weekend “Cellobration” under the auspices of the South Carolina chapter of String Teachers Association (SCASTA). The event will take place on the beautiful campus of Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. The event will be hosted by Yuriy Leonovich (Assistant Professor of Cello at Bob Jones University). Guest clinician will be Michael Haber (Professor Emeritus of University of Akron). Other professional cellists from around South Carolina will also be involved in the event, and there will be displays from instrument shop sponsors.
ABOUT SC CELLO CHOIR
Professionals, amateurs, teachers and students from around the region take part in this musical phenomenon, learning from renowned clinicians and music faculty.
Cellists of all ages are invited to participate in this year’s Cello Choir and workshop. The festival is designed for cellists of all ages and ability levels. We especially invite out-of-state cellists to join us!
This is a terrific event for ’cellists of all ages from near beginners who can read music to professionals, and for all lovers of the ’cello as an instrument. We hope to see you there!
This annual event alternates between the University of South Carolina, Furman University, Bob Jones University, Converse College and the College of Charleston.
