It’s hard to believe, but the Drive’s 10th Anniversary Season in Downtown Greenville at Fluor Field is drawing to a close. With only five games remaining, with the Drive in a tight race with their rival – the Asheville Tourists – for the Southern Division Wild Card, it’s time to “Bring It In, Greenville” and cheer on the Red Sox’ top prospects – including Yoan Moncada, Rafael Devers, Andrew Benintendi, Michael Chavis, Javier Guerra, and Nick Longhi!
The homestand against the Savannah Sand Gnats, affiliate of the New York Mets, begins on Thursday, September 3rd at 7:05 PM. Gates open at 6:00 PM, and you’ll want to get in your seats early and help the Drive recognize the Hale’s Jewelers Player of the Year, as voted on by the fans. The recipient will receive a commemorative watch, while one lucky fan will receive a $500 savings certificate, courtesy of Hale’s Jewelers.
Thursday’s game is the final Dollar Drink Night of the 2015 season, which is your last opportunity to enjoy $1 Pepsi products at any of the Fluor Field concession stands. Those fans at least 21-years-of age, will have one last chance for a unique networking opportunity in the Southern Tide 500 Club with $1 cans of PBR and live music from “Happy Ending”. In addition, the kick-off of the college football season with the South Carolina Gamecocks verus North Carolina Tar Heels game shown on the big-screen TVs in the 500 Club.
On Friday, September 4th, the Drive will shoot off its legendary Friday Night Fireworks following the 7:05 game against the Sand Gnats. The theme for the night is 60’s Night, and you’ll get to enjoy great music from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Beach Boys, Aretha Franklin and much more, as well as fun games and entertainment featuring these great tunes from the 60’s.
Saturday, September 5th is One Hit Wonders Night at Fluor Field. First pitch for the game is set for 7:05 PM, and some of the great one hit wonder songs such as Who Let the Dogs Out, Come on Eileen and Breakfast at Tiffany’s will be heard all game long. Reedy Rip’It will thrill fans of all ages throughout the night, signing autographs from 6:30 PM until the end of the 1st inning and performing a one hit wonder dance mash up.
The Drive are proud to welcome the Northwood Little League team to Fluor Field on Sunday, September 6th, which has a special first pitch time of 7:05 PM due to the Labor Day holiday weekend. Northwood was the first team from the Palmetto State to reach the Little League World Series in over 60 years, and to honor their contributions to baseball and the Upstate community, the Drive will be recognizing their players and coaches on the field before the game, and the players will get the chance to run onto the field with the Drive for pregame introductions and the National Anthem. In addition, Drive players and coaches will be wearing special Northwood Little League jerseys during the game that will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to Northwood to help offset the cost of travel to the Little League World Series.
The Drive will also be joining forces with LiveWell Greenville and the U.S. Play Coalition for a full day of PLAY at the ballpark. Prior to the game, children of all ages and their families are invited to take part in an assortment of on-field games and activities which promote the value of play throughout life. Gates will open at 5:15 PM, and the PLAY activities include blob tag, the Mobi-Rec obstacel course, craft station, and more!

The regular season concludes with a 2:05 PM game on Monday, September 7th. Enjoy your Labor Day with the Greenville Drive at Fluor Field as we look back on the fun entertainment and quality baseball of the 10th Anniversary season in 2015! A special Labor Day picnic in the Paladin Picnic Plateau will be available for purchase for all fans. For just $20, which includes a ticket to the game, fans can enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet from 1 PM to 2:30 PM, that features hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies, and drinks.
After the conclusion of the game, the Drive will thank fans for their incredible support all year long with “Everyone Runs the Bases”. This year has been one for the ages, and the Drive couldn’t do it without their fans, so thank you for an unforgettable season!
